Amy holds a dual master’s degree in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care and Nursing Education from the University of South Florida, where she also earned a doctorate in nursing with a clinical focus in rheumatology. Additionally, she has a post-graduate certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Florida State University. Amy has worked as a nurse for over 15 years, with over ten years as a nurse practitioner.
Amy's clinical passions include mental health for organ transplant patients, rheumatology and fibromyalgia patients, support for men and women experiencing infertility or pregnancy loss, and mental health support for teenage and college-age students. Amy has overcome personal challenges and brings authentic empathy, a deep sense of compassion, and nonjudgment to all her patients. She believes in lifelong learning, professional collaboration, evidence-based practice, and, most importantly, caring for individuals at both their highest and lowest points in life.
Amy is also dedicated to educating future nurses, particularly nurse practitioner students. She has precepted and worked as an assistant professor to Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner students at various universities and colleges across the U.S. She has presented at national conferences and served as a subject matter expert for board certification entities.

Personal Passions: Spending time with husband and fur-babies (2 cockapoos and a maltipoo), reading, traveling, sewing, and playing the piano.
